Info: As preparation for the opening of Manifesta 16 Ruhr on June 21, our next reading group will focus on two texts that examine the history, ambitions, and contradictions of the European nomadic biennial. Founded in the aftermath of the Cold War, Manifesta has positioned itself as a platform for cultural dialogue, urban transformation, and European integration. Yet it has also generated ongoing debates about regeneration, political instrumentalization, and the role of contemporary art within changing social landscapes.
