Verena Lueken shaped the arts section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung for many years as an author and critic with articles on film, literature, feminist and American topics. She has been awarded the International Journalism Prize and the Michael Althen Prize for Criticism for her journalistic work. Her guide to New York became a long-term bestseller.
