somewhere in between, we lost track of whether we are talking about office buildings or showcases. or more generally about architecture that creates this sense of artificiality and set units made for the sake of clarity; of former demands for distinction between spaces. A separation of functional spheres built up by different inhabitants or borrowers of  space, each fulfilling their own requirements. While rushing through the grid that structures the different properties, one moves around them as if through a model. Even though you sometimes can’t fully see the dividing line between several sorting units, you know when you’ve crossed one. when signals seem to demand something else from you, when the spotlight hits you on entry, or when crossing the space just feels different. just having been somewhen before and now sensing a sudden change of frequency. in a sense of time; when you realize that you might not be synchronized.
