Info: This exhibition unites six artists through a shared sensitivity rather than a narrative. Its title gestures toward something both absurd and familiar: a feeling that seems widely known but remains difficult to define. Dinner with Rabbit refers not to an event, but to an atmosphere – an intuitive state that resists explanation, in which the rabbit, a mystical and insightful being, embodies understanding beyond the reach of reason. The sensation is deeply personal, yet it resonates across viewers; it suggests that everyone has, in some way, dined with the rabbit, encountering moments that are private but recognizable. The fleeting quality of these intuitions is expressed through painting as fluid form and color. Shapes appear and dissolve, interiors blend with landscapes, and spatial relations remain open, allowing attention to move freely. The interplay of hue, light, and contour conveys emotion directly, drawing the viewer into subtle states apprehended through feeling alone. Such engagement reflects Immanuel Kant’s insight in Critique of Judgment: aesthetic response arises from the interaction of faculties, not from rational explanation, allowing the mind to navigate impressions freely.
