Info: RizzutoGallery is proud to present BED – a solo exhibition by Richard Deacon (b. 1949), the internationally renowned British sculptor and winner of the prestigious Turner Prize. The exhibition will be inaugurated in presence of the artist on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 5 to 8 pm at the Gallery’s German branch in Düsseldorf at Ackerstraße 34. The exhibition will remain on view until April 12th, 2025. On display will be Fall, a voluptuous horizontal wooden sculpture, as well as a selection of recent works on paper created by Deacon specifically for the exhibition at RizzutoGallery, all belonging to the BED series from which the exhibition takes its title. Created through successive layers of marks and colours, these graphic works by Richard Deacon evoke a layering process where each layer overlaps the previous one, reflecting the gradual accumulation and depth of the work.
