Info: Episode 4 of Odyssey is based on the 4th Archetype of the hero’s journey – the giver. This Episode is presented by Katarina Janeckova Walshe. Hingabe describes the act of giving oneself wholeheartedly for something/someone. The giver draws strength from the feeling of being needed. They naturally prioritizes the needs of their fellow human beings and finds personal fulfillment in them. The giver creates an atmosphere in which people feel safe and secure. In this way, they create a community in which all members feel equally valued and cared for. Although the example of caring parents, of mother and father, makes these inner qualities tangible, the act of caring devotion is decisively associated with a socially shaped image of the mother.
