From Berlin to Düsseldorf – Gregor Gleiwitz at Kunst in der Carlstadt

Info: For the special occasion of Kunst in der Carlstadt, SETAREH is excited to present a selection of works by Gregor Gleiwitz from his solo exhibition in Berlin, Form Time to Time. Featuring a powerful and enigmatic body of work that harnesses visual metamorphosis, perception and  the uncanny, the works present an intensity that interrogates our rapidly shifting milieu, visceral and layered. The opening reception will take place on Friday, May 16, 6–9 pm, with additional hours on Saturday, May 17, 12–6 pm. We cordially invite you to see the works in person at Hohe Straße 53 in Düsseldorf. Gleiwitz creates images that appear to be in constant transformation, hovering between states of stability and change. Drawing on the visual complexity of artists like Hieronymus Bosch and Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Gleiwitz similarly plays with the transformation of tangible forms into monstrous or whimsical manifestations. Yet unlike those historical references, his images resist objective clarity. (…)
