Georg Baselitz, Tony Cragg, Albert Oehlen

Info: Achenbach Hagemeier presents the group show Georg Baselitz, Tony Cragg, Albert Oehlen.

Info: Achenbach Hagemeier is pleased to present works by Georg Baselitz, Tony Cragg, and Albert Oehlen. The group exhibition brings together three of the most influential post-war and contemporary living artists who have made significant contributions to the art world. The works in the exhibition range from 1986 to 2022 and offer glimpses into each artist’s development, while representing their personal perspective and unique artistic approach. Despite their differences in medium and style, there are several common aspects in the art of Cragg, Oehlen and Baselitz. One of the most significant similarities is their willingness to experiment with form and material. All three artists push the boundaries of their respective mediums, using unconventional materials and techniques to create their work. They also challenge our perceptions of space and form, often creating works that are abstract or distorted, thereby encouraging us to critically question our usual view of the things around us and how we perceive art.
