Fight Like A Girl – Activism & Feminism in Art

Andrea Bowers, Katie Holten, Wendy White

Info: Is Activism Feminine? The exhibition aims to present and establish art by women far from the still dominant norms. In doing so, it consciously challenges imposed stereotypes and not only celebrates the diversity of art by women artists, but also addresses the issues of misogyny, migration and the climate crisis. All three artists live in the USA. The current social and political developments are frightening. A shift to the right, anti-feminism and racism can be increasingly observed worldwide. Andrea Bowers, Katie Holten and Wendy White hold a mirror up to us through their art. VAN HORN serves as interface between the feminist concept, the no bullshit attitude and the visual power of the artworks.
