Info: We are delighted to announce Julian Charrière’s third solo exhibition at the gallery. Earth breathes in mountains, speaks in stone, and dreams in fire. In A Stone Dream of You, Julian Charrière intimately engages with geologic processes, excavating the deep-time memories of materials–coal, lava, obsidian–and metamorphosing them using ground-breaking methods across multiple media. His works collapse geological and human timescales, revealing the slow, invisible forces forming and deforming both landscapes and histories. As poet Francis Ponge poignantly reminds us, »Since stone does not recreate itself, it is the only thing in nature that is constantly dying.« In Charrière’s fabrications, stone is not timeless but restless, suspended between eruption and erosion—a fleeting dream leaving a lasting impression.
