Info: Ruttkowski;68 is pleased to present Itchy Bloom, a group exhibition curated by Carolin Eidner at R;68 in Cologne, bringing together seven artists from New York, Berlin, Vienna, and Bochum. Their works converge in a dialogic exploration of longing, transformation, and fragile interrelations. There’s an itch when something begins to bloom—a restless tension, a subtle irritation, the ache of growth, or the anticipation of an unfolding form. It carries an erotic edge, a raw pulse of energy suspended between desire and danger, melancholy and tenderness. But the moment something reaches full bloom, decay is already at work. A web of interwoven connections runs through the exhibition, oscillating between human, natural, and metaphysical notions of blooming. Themes of seduction and longing emerge through abstract gestures, material explorations, and a quiet reckoning with vulnerability. (…)
