PFABLaura Aberham
Info: Laura Aberham renounces all representationalism in her paintings. She radically utilizes a type of color field painting, to the point where not only the individual color itself, but its interaction with others, and the application technique convey meaning. The paintings sometimes develop a dynamic that almost leads the viewer into a color frenzy. Thus a performative character resonates in her works, especially in larger formats. With this dynamic and wild movement, the viewer is not confronted with a closed picture composition, but with an open working field. The traces of the application of paint clearly shows drops, traces of materials, overlapping and layering. And yet the positions of the individual parts of the picture are very precisely positioned and carefully composed.
